During the "Green Footprints Action Week" 100 students from OOU "Jan Amos Komenski“- Karposh, Skopje, collected 977 Зелени Стапалчиња (Green Footprints).

Throughout their activity week, held from September 23 through September 27, and under the motto "Imagine Our City Without Cars" the students embraced a variety of eco-friendly initiatives. They actively promoted the use of climatefirendly transportation, such as bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, and walking, throughout the week. Beyond these practical steps, the students undertook creative endeavors, leaving messages on cars in the school's surroundings, crafting drawings, composing songs, and creating artwork to adorn their classrooms.

In their roles as responsible community members, the students delved into discussions aimed at inspiring fellow citizens to care for the environment. Their initiatives ranged from discouraging waste dumping and promoting waste separation to thinking about how to save their own helth as well.

The second-grade students participated in the "Be Active" campaign, which includes daily physical activities and helps the pupils to learn about the benefits of an active lifestyle.

The fifth-grade students participated in various activities. Their Eco Parade organized in the vicinity was the highlight of the week, where the students effectively communicated messages advocating support and collaboration for a healthier environment.

Therfore the pupils wrote short messages and placed them on the windscreens of parking cars near the school.

In addition the children made drawings showing their dreams of a city without cars.

The week concluded with a compelling speech in the school parliament, where the students shared their impressions of the activities and emphasized the ongoing need for environmental awareness in their actions.

They also wrote poems and environmental slogans.

The translation of one of the acrostic poems is:
We walk together
Only the steps we count
We walk with ease
Economically towards the school
We’ll choose the best pedestrian
We’ll do that persistently

Every pupil on foot will go
Together with a scooter or a bike
Everyone psychically active will be
On foot our days should start
To achieve our goals easily
Walk on your feet
With no exceptions
New York will envy us
The pollution from Skopje will disappear

And of course all students collected "green footprints" throughout the week, adding up on 977 footprints - thanks a lot to all Climate Activists!
